Taken me a while, but finally getting there!
I am holding an opening day this Saturday - with 'Specials' :) My passion is still creating a picture which is more than an 'as- captured image' hence my catch - phrase - "Paining with Pixels". Most 'straight-up' images benefit from some computer processing before printing and I enjoy helping others to get the best out of their photographs also. Whether you are looking to buy something special, or help to create something special, do call in or contact me as above! Sadly nothing in this life is perfect. I came across a field of sunflowers in Germany and took lots of photographs, but when I examined them on the computer at home - I could not find one that was 'perfect'. Made me think.... not one of us IS perfect, but in some the seeds of corruption are more obvious than others and mar the beauty God gave us. I attempted to show this insidious nature of corruption by this composite image- how it can infiltrate our very being if we are not self aware; not one of us is immune. (And yes, for any that are confused - this is a composite image - it is not 'real' , but a blend of a sunflower image with that of a thistle producing that sinister change to the flower) OK, God, now you have fullfilled your promise - we are as numerous as the grains of sand on the sea shore: Now what?
Suggest a title?
This means something to me, but on the principle that an image should not need an explanation, I invite reaction; what does it say to you? Today out for a wander with my camera, my eye was caught by this reflection pattern and it made me think again about differing perspectives and how we see (and understand) things; is there a 'right' or 'wrong' way??
the beauty of bull kelp in the evening light - this taken with my iphone. I am discovering the pleasures - and simplicity - of smart phone photography!
I have never been an early morning person, but yes, sometimes it is worth it!! Just beautiful on Riverton Beach at 7.30 am
I am busy preparing for a course I am leading through Southland Education, but keep getting distracted by wanting to do more of my own photography!! (see https://southlandeducation.arlo.co/courses/131-introduction-to-digital-photography-in-riverton) |
