Delighted and honoured to be awarded 1st prize in the recent Wanaka Camera Club print exhibition, held in conjunction with the Wanaka Arts Society Labour Weekend exhibition.
It was held for the first time in Wanaka Primary School and apart from the location being rather hard to find for visitors, it was an ideal site and a great space for arranging displays. This was the image - entitled "The Princess Awakes". -yes - another take on our famous tree!

Try as I might, I cannot get away from my desire to play with images...here is another born out of the Orana Park Zebra.
Entitled "Evolution" Something different for me - a black & white landscape. Looking back towards Queenstown from the Crown Range Road 'An Oasis of Brown in s Sea of Green'. Spring temps and some rain last night and all looks so green already ; funny - I'm still drawn more to our golden browns!
Attended the S Regional Photographic Society Convention in Christchurch last w/e and went to Orana Park as part of that. Legs gave me heaps with all the walking - kind of envied this lady! But the Zebra always interest me the most - there is something so magical, but also amusing about them - God's tongue-in-cheek' creation!! Christchurch Impressions - yes there the experience of wandering around the red zone for 2hrs on a Sunday was slightly surreal... 'Earthquake Tourism' !
