The Wanaka Tree has become such an icon, but I wonder what we really see when we look at it?
Meanwhile for one shag it is his roost - his castle. What does he think of all the attention?! I was up in Wanaka briefly for the Wanaka Camera Club's end of year dinner (an invited guest - no less - and - honoured to have been awarded the Achievement cup again) and as I drove back across the Crown Range this morning, was struck again by the beauty.
My quote of the day came from some overseas visitors I briefly met - "Enjoy the moment; don't search or you'll loose everything". I think I will make that my New Year's resolution!! Admit to more than a little frustration with the weather recently......
Yes, there's lots to do indoors - but -!!!! None-the-less I do believe the sun will shine again - sooner rather than later would be good ;) Great to see the sun again!!
Been busy with house renovation plans - but ALSO - preparing for the Riverton Twilight Christmas Market this Friday from 5.30pm. in the main street of Riverton. Anyone in the area - do come along - there will be all sorts of free entertainment and numerous stalls to tempt you - my LeeWay one included - Cards, Calendars & Canvases for sale! |
